About Bright Start Academy

We are a private school that specializes in education for children with exceptionalities. We offer a wide variety of programs to enhance each child’s social, academic and life skills as well as provides ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) therapy and autism support services to individuals.

We have been working with children with special needs since 2003 and started with only two students. Now we have twenty-five.

We have fourteen employees and operate Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. We are located on the second floor of a storefront building, in North York, ON and provide our services across Brampton, Mississauga, Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill and the surrounding areas.

The Bright Start Academy Difference

We pride ourselves on working with children with exceptionalities by giving them the support and modifications they need to be successful. We feel an immense sense of pride when we see the gains and accomplishments of our students.

We also take great pride in seeing our students reach their goals by either graduating and going to college or university or finding a job. We provide our students with additional support in academics, communication, social skills and functional daily living skills. Our staff is qualified both as Ontario Certified Teachers, and as Instructor Therapists trained in Behavioral Therapy.

Our small student to teacher ratios ensures that each BSA child receives the education they deserve. We genuinely care about each one of our students and their goals. We encourage families to work with us to guarantee their child is working on skills at school and home. We also make student-specific modifications to cater to the needs of each individual.
